PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

    THE POSITION

    Reporting to the Senior Director, Production, the Production Supervisor oversees the tools, equipment, staff and processes on production floor. Supervising production workers and assisting with scheduling and day-to-day production activities, this role ensures production is operational, maintaining ongoing production units and troubleshooting issues.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Overseeing the manufacturing and shipping processes and procedures in factory production operations
    • Evaluating each station of the production process to maintain optimum efficiency
    • Enforcing all safety policies on the production floor
    • Creating and overseeing employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations and ensure profitability
    • Inspecting products for quality and accuracy prior to shipping
    • Maintaining communication between management and employees to ensure that necessary policies are understood and followed
    • Ensuring that the flow of resources like raw materials is maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to create and adhere to effective schedules
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to stand for long periods on solid surfaces
    • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
    • Ability to read a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
    • Ability to complete written reports legibly and accurately
    • Strong leadership skills

    Employment is subject to the completion of due-diligence inquiries, including a background check and a pre-employment medical examination incorporating a drug and alcohol screen, which will take place after a conditional offer is made.

    PREFERRED/PLUS

    • 2-year degree
    • Experience in lieu of engineering
    • Experience with ISO or MSI (Lean Manufacturing Basics)
    • 4 years of experience in a manufacturing plant
    • 5 years of experience as a production or factory worker
